Fishbox is an award-winning seafood subscription service that delivers fresh, sustainable fish and shellfish direct to the doors of its customers within 48 hours of being landed.

We built a mobile-friendly e-commerce site that could showcase their offering as well as manage customer accounts and orders, handle recurring payments and features a recipe bank created from user generated content.

Cutting down on food waste

A massive amount of food waste can occur when a customer receives a delivery with some items they maybe aren't too keen on. 

This coupled with the fact that catching specific fish is never guaranteed, means this subscription service needed real flexibility in fulfilment, and from the customer.

We created a detailed preference and recommendation engine that Fishbox customers could use to guarantee they would always be happy with what was delivered.
