Scottish Drug Deaths Taskforce

The Drugs Deaths Taskforce was established in July 2019 by the Scottish Government to tackle the rising number of drug-related deaths in Scotland.

A new website was created to support digital communications for the taskforce, providing a key channel to promote the organisation's plan and strategic objectives.

Umbraco CMS

Making the site easy to administer

We make adding, editing and managing content a great experience for content editors of all abilities.

The Umbraco CMS is easy to pick up and use, and the DDTF team were up and running in no time at all.

The website is updated regularly with project data from 31 local area partnerships that deliver services, and the process was streamlined to make this as easy as possible.

Umbraco is our CMS of choice for most of the projects we deliver. Get in touch for a demo

INTERACTIVE MAP

Mapping progress with the MAT Tracker

The taskforce needed to communicate how their pioneering work with Medically Assisted Treatments (MAT) progresses across their 31 local area partnerships.

We examined ways of illustrating this in a manner that was both concise and easy to consume.

We agreed on a custom-built interactive map, linked to CMS-manageable data with a grading mechanism that made activity easy to view and simple to keep updated.

Content Design

Rich, flexible content

We created a suite of different panel types that could be used to create rich pages that allow complex content to be easily consumed.

By making use of simple and concise content panels including statements, quotes, collapsible "accordion" areas, full-width images and videos, the client is able to break up pages into digestible sections that provide an engaging flow for the user.

What DDTF thought

Factory73 displayed a pragmatic and constructive understanding of our brief and requirements from the start.

Working with them proved to be effective and efficient, and we were able to turn our vision for what we wanted our site to be into a reality we are proud of against a tight timescale.
